    Cook the pasta and brown the bratwurst slices in a skillet; set the brats aside.

    Melt the butter, whisk in the flour, then the milk and beer, and simmer until thickened.

    Off the heat, stir in the cheddar and mustard until smooth.

    Toss with the pasta and bratwurst.

Notes

Farm tip: Add the cheese off the heat so the sauce stays silky and doesn't break.
